ISABELA IS COUNTING ON YOU

ISABELA IS COUNTING ON YOU

On August 15, 2020, a female green turtle was attacked by a shark near the shores of Isabela, Puerto Rico. She suffered severe wounds including fractures on her shell and the loss of a frontal and a rear flipper. After being found, she was taken to the Manatee Conservation Center of Puerto Rico, a non-profit organization devoted to providing veterinary treatments for endangered sea animals found in Puerto Rico, where she is currently being treated and recovering. Upon learning about Isabela, named after the place in which she was found, I decided to design a sticker that would help the Manatee Conservation Center raise the funds necessary for her treatment.

I took the time to carefully make the design of the sticker as accurate to her as possible, while still maintaining some of the key elements of my artistic style. The design features a message at the top which says "Isabela Cuenta Contigo," which is Spanish for "Isabela Is Counting On You." This sticker is waterproof, UV coated, scratch-resistant, and measures nearly 3 inches.

All of the funds acquired from this sticker will be used to cover Isabela's veterinary treatment. With the purchase of this sticker, you can help Isabela achieve her full recovery and return to the ocean soon.

If you wish to support Isabela, you can purchase the sticker HERE. Thank you for your support!

Special thanks to Dr. Antonio Mignucci, Patricia Pérez, Carla I. Rivera, and Yanira Cruz for providing me the opportunity to visit the Manatee Conservation Center and help Isabela during her recovery through my artwork.
